Tour Details
Around 8:00 AM on the departure day, a car will pick you up at your accommodation and take you to the Jungle Boss office. Here, you will receive the necessary equipment, listen to the itinerary and regulations to better understand the journey, and sign the Release Form. Afterward, the group will depart by car, traveling along Road 20 Quyet Thang to the starting point of the jungle trek at Km 24.
The trekking route will take you through small trails in the deep forest, over a few slopes, listening to interesting stories about the life and survival experiences of the Arem people who once lived here, as told by the guide.
At noon, the group will stop at Khe May for lunch and rest, then continue the journey through the forest to Dai A Cave. Here, you will prepare safety equipment to swim 300 meters through the dark cave to the Kong Collapse campsite. In case of high water levels that make swimming unsafe, the guide will lead the group along a trail on the top of the cave to reach Kong Collapse.
Upon arrival, you will bathe, rest, have dinner, and experience a relaxing evening at Kong - one of the deepest sinkholes on the planet.
In the morning, you will wake up and enjoy breakfast amidst the fresh nature of the National Park's core area, then experience a 5-meter slackline at "Toad's Tongue". The abseil is not too high, so it is easy to complete, but it still gives you a feeling of excitement, and especially allows you to see the campsite from above and take some incredible photos.
Leaving the campsite, the group will go deeper into the cave, swimming in the cool underground river to explore Tiger Cave. Then, the group will continue trekking through a forest in another natural sinkhole to the entrance of Over Cave and stop for lunch.
After lunch, you will be equipped with safety gear to explore the 3.2 km Over Cave. As you go deeper into the cave, amidst the stillness of the vast darkness and the sparkling stalactites, you will feel like you are floating in another world - a fascinating and impressive experience.
At the end of Over Cave is a sinkhole containing a vast primeval forest, located between this cave and Pygmy Cave. Here, the group will move along the safety rope to walk along the cliff from the back entrance of the cave to the "Dinosaur Spine" located in the middle of the cave. From the "Dinosaur Spine", you will experience a 10-meter abseil down into the dark cave, continue walking for a while to the main entrance of Pygmy Cave to explore the 4th largest cave in the world.
As it gets dark, the group will set up camp and rest right at the cave entrance, enjoying dinner with Quang Binh specialties and chatting under the romantic cave arch.
Early in the morning, the group will enjoy breakfast with beef pho or "chao banh canh" (a type of Vietnamese soup), pack up, and say goodbye to the Tiger Cave system to return. The way back will take you through valleys and overlapping limestone mountains, which is quite challenging but also very interesting. Lunch will be prepared along the way.
Around early afternoon, the group will reach Road 20 Quyet Thang, enjoy cold drinks, and get in the car back to the Jungle Boss office, ending the journey.

Phong Nha Ke Bang has 4 seasons with Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, it also experiences a monsoon tropical climate, with two distinct seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. The rainy season spans from September to March, while the dry season stretches from April to August. During the rainy season, temperatures can drop as low as 17°C, with January being the coldest month. In contrast, the dry season can bring higher temperatures, with May usually recording the highest temperatures, but most of it is reduced when visitors are in the jungle and the caves exploring, as it might drop to the temperature around 23°C.
When you visit Phong Nha in each season, you'll always witness a unique beauty. If you choose to visit during the rainy season, the waterfalls in the jungle and the calcite lakes inside the caves will be exceptionally beautiful and full, allowing you to capture memorable photos. On the other hand, if you opt for the dry season, your trekking routes in the jungle will be drier and more manageable.
Throughout the year, we are at our most beautiful status from April to May when the weather is dry, cool, and the scenery is at its finest.
