Bach Ma Discovery: 1-Day Adventure Tour
The Do Quyen Waterfall adventure is one of Central Vietnam's most thrilling day trips, and a must for anyone visiting Hue. You'll cross a 130m suspension bridge, scale a 301-step Via Ferrata rock face, and finish with an exhilarating 85m zipline over the waterfall.

Between 07:30 and 08:00, a Jungle Boss vehicle will collect guests from central Hue city and head to Bach Ma National Park in Phu Loc District, roughly 40 kilometres south of Hue.
After about an hour on the road, the group arrives at the Jungle Boss base near the foot of Bach Ma mountain. Your guide will run through the day's schedule, safety rules, and environmental guidelines for trekking in Bach Ma National Park. The support team will then help you gear up with all the specialist equipment you'll need before setting off.
From there, the vehicle takes the group to the trailhead near the Bach Ma summit, where you'll begin the hike down to Do Quyen Waterfall, also known as Rhododendron Waterfall, one of the tallest and most spectacular waterfalls in Vietnam.
From the top of the falls, you descend to the start of the Stairway to Heaven suspension bridge. Your guides will brief you on the techniques for crossing the bridge and tackling the Via Ferrata before the adventure begins. The challenge kicks off with the 130-metre Stairway to Heaven, a suspension bridge stretching across the face of Do Quyen Waterfall with breathtaking views of the thundering cascade below. It is the only suspension bridge of its kind in Vietnam.
After crossing, the group takes a well-earned break and enjoys a light snack surrounded by the waterfall scenery.
Next up is the Via Ferrata, where you'll clip into a safety harness and climb 301 steel rungs up the rock face right alongside the rushing waterfall. A true Via Ferrata experience in Vietnam. Once at the top, an 85m zipline sends you soaring back across Do Quyen Waterfall for a final burst of excitement.
After all that, the group treks down through the Bach Ma National Park jungle to the Ngu Ho Five Lakes area, where lunch is waiting in a peaceful forest setting.
After lunch, you're free to relax at Ngu Ho, one of the most beautiful stops in Bach Ma National Park. These natural pools sit within the ancient forest of Central Vietnam, perfect for a refreshing swim, a rest by the water, or simply taking in the quiet surroundings.
Around 15:30, the vehicle returns to take the group back to the Jungle Boss base at Bach Ma to return all equipment.
You'll then head back to central Hue city, arriving around 17:30 and wrapping up a full adventure day out in Bach Ma National Park. Also bookable as a day trip from Da Nang or Hoi An.

The weather in Bach Ma National Park has a tropical monsoon climate, influenced by the high mountainous terrain (Bach Ma peak is 1,444m high). Therefore, the climate here is cool year-round, with the average temperature in Bạch Mã ranging from 19°C to 25°C, lower than the Hue plain area. It is usually cool during the day and can be chilly at night, especially in winter.
The dry season lasts from January to August, with dry and pleasant weather, suitable for sightseeing and exploration or zipline activities.
The rainy season is from September to December, with high concentrated rainfall, often accompanied by thick fog and high humidity (85-90%). Heavy rain can cause flash floods or landslides in some areas.
Bach Ma frequently experiences fog, especially in the early morning or late afternoon, creating a mystical landscape but potentially limiting visibility. The humidity is high year-round, especially during the rainy season.
Flights
After landing at Phu Bai Airport, you can catch a taxi at the airport, or book/motorbike through Grab, Xanh SM to the center of Hue City.
Train
Arrived at Hue train station. From here you can use FREE Jungle Boss transfer service, choose private car service, or catch a taxi at the train station.
Sleeping Buses
There are several sleeping buses from along the country to Hue. Most popular is from Da Nang or Ninh Binh, Ha Noi.
