Tour Details
In the morning, the tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the Jungle Boss headquarters, where you will receive the necessary equipment, listen to the itinerary briefing, and sign the release form before departure. Then you will be transferred to the starting point of the trek at km17 on road 20 Quyet Thang.
Here, you will begin trekking under large trees, enjoying the fresh air in the core area of the National Park. After about over 1 hour of walking, the Nightmare sinkhole appears amidst the majestic limestone cliffs, dotted with vibrant green moss patches.
Here, you will ride a 60-metre zipline across Nightmare Sinkhole, taking in spectacular views of the surrounding limestone cliffs.
Continuing the journey, you go to Hung cave. This cave has beautiful stalactites and stalagmites with stunning shapes, especially the round cave pearls lying on the sparkling calcium layer. After exploring Hung cave, you will continue trekking through the forest to the campsite. You will take a dip in the lake, rest, and gather to enjoy dinner.
You will enjoy breakfast and then walk along Hung Thoong stream to Thung cave sinkhole. Amidst the majestic cliffs, you will experience a 25-meter rope descent into Thung cave sinkhole – an exciting experience amidst the majestic and poetic natural scenery.
At Thung cave, you will rest for lunch and continue the thrilling experience of following the safety rope, crossing the Midway gorge with a width of only about 1 meter to reach Floating lake. This is a beautiful calcium lake with year-round clear blue water, suitable for swimming, relaxing, and taking photos.
After continuing to explore the Thung cave, you will experience a 20-meter rope descent and swim to the exit of Thung cave.
After relaxing, you will trek about 3 hours to the Ma Da lake campsite. You can take a dip in the middle of the lake. Dinner is the time to gather around, relax, and recharge for the final day of the journey.
The last day, you will wake up in the aroma of breakfast prepared by the Jungle Boss chefs. After breakfast and packing your belongings, you will trek about 1 hour along a gentle trail to the entrance 1 of Victory Cave.
The safety assistants will help you put on the safety equipment and prepare for a 20-metre rappel into Victory Cave. From the entrance, you slowly descend into the darkness below, your headlamp reflecting off the damp rock walls, making this one of the most thrilling moments of the journey.
Inside the cave, you follow the slope deeper inside and see formations rising up to 50 metres, sparkling pure-white calcite formations, large cave pearls, and an impressive system of calcite pools that fill with water during the rainy season.
After 30 minutes, you do the 25-metre rappel to reach branch 2 of Victory Cave, then stop for lunch inside the vast chamber. After lunch, you continue exploring the cave and move towards the cave exit.
From here, you trek along the trail, crossing sharp karst terrain before reaching the finish point at Km 22 on the West Ho Chi Minh road.

Phong Nha Ke Bang has 4 seasons with Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, it also experiences a monsoon tropical climate, with two distinct seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. The rainy season spans from September to March, while the dry season stretches from April to August. During the rainy season, temperatures can drop as low as 17°C, with January being the coldest month. In contrast, the dry season can bring higher temperatures, with May usually recording the highest temperatures, but most of it is reduced when visitors are in the jungle and the caves exploring, as it might drop to the temperature around 23°C.
When you visit Phong Nha in each season, you'll always witness a unique beauty. If you choose to visit during the rainy season, the waterfalls in the jungle and the calcite lakes inside the caves will be exceptionally beautiful and full, allowing you to capture memorable photos. On the other hand, if you opt for the dry season, your trekking routes in the jungle will be drier and more manageable.
Throughout the year, we are at our most beautiful status from April to May when the weather is dry, cool, and the scenery is at its finest.
