Tour Details
In the morning, your guide will pick you up to participate in a health check, rest, and have lunch at the Jungle Boss Travelodge, preparing for the training session in the early afternoon.
The training session is where you will learn how to use the safety equipment, abseiling techniques, and practice right at the Jungle Boss training area. The guide and safety assistants will instruct the group on how to use the rope system and equipment, ensuring you are confident and ready for the adventurous journey to the legendary Kong Collapse.
In the evening, the group will join a welcome party, get to know their fellow adventurers, and rest in preparation for the next day.
In the morning, the group will gather at the Jungle Boss office to receive necessary equipment, listen to the itinerary, and sign the Release of Liability form. Then, the group will travel along Road 20 Quyet Thang to the starting point of the trek, located at km24.
The journey through the primeval forest starts relatively easy and gradually increases in difficulty with a few slopes. Crossing a few dry streams, you will stop at the top of Gio Pass (Windy Pass) and enjoy lunch, taking in the continuous cool breezes. On lucky days, the group may have the opportunity to see squirrels darting across the tree canopy, or perhaps a black-shanked douc langur swinging through the branches nearby in search of food.
Continuing to trek under the canopy of centuries-old trees, the group will arrive at the campsite near the entrance of Dai A Cave. Here, you can bathe, swim in the underground river inside the cave, enjoy dinner, and chat with the local porters and other group members right at the majestic cave entrance.
After breakfast, the group will leave Dai A Cave and continue uphill to the top of Kong Collapse - the location for the adventurous 100-meter abseil. From this height, you will begin the first abseil from the eye socket of the collapse down 30 meters. As soon as you leave the foothold on the rock face, the feeling of being suspended in mid-air on the safety rope will bring you a sense of excitement mixed with thrilling stimulation.
After the 30-meter abseil, guests will use safety equipment to continue through narrow rock passages to the second 20-meter abseil.
After the first 50 meters of abseiling, guests will stop at a rocky outcrop located midway up the high cliff to have lunch with a million-dollar view overlooking the vast collapse.
After lunch, the group will continue to conquer the remaining 50 meters.
Reaching the bottom of the collapse, the group can bathe and rest. In the summer, you can kayak to the entrance of Dai A Cave to admire the scenery and take photos before returning to the collapse for dinner. From inside the collapse, the towering cliffs embrace the starry night sky, creating a scene that is both majestic and magical.
Early in the morning, the sunlight shines down from the mouth of the collapse, illuminating the entire cave. After breakfast, guests will experience a 7-meter abseil at the "Toad's Tongue" and take photos. Then the group will pack up their belongings, squeeze through a narrow and dark rock passage to reach Ho Cave. Here, you will swim in the cool underground river in the cave to explore it.
Continuing to trek through the forest for about 5 to 10 minutes, you will come to explore Hang Over (Over Cave), winding through the darkness with a cool atmosphere, admiring the giant sparkling stalactites reflecting from the light of your headlamp - an exciting experience that makes you feel like you are lost in another world. At the end of Over Cave is a small sinkhole, dividing this cave from Pygmy Cave. Crossing the lush forest in the sinkhole, you will reach the back entrance of Pygmy Cave, cling to the safety rope to move to the "Dinosaur Spine," participate in the 10-meter abseil challenge down into the cave, and walk to the campsite near the entrance of Pygmy Cave.
Here, the group will receive their tents, bathe, rest, and have dinner and chat together. If you are lucky on clear days, you can also admire the starry sky from the entrance of Pygmy Cave.
The early morning sun shines down from the entrance of Pygmy Cave, illuminating the cave's depths. The group will have breakfast, then continue trekking through the forest, overcoming the challenging "Grass Slope" to reach the main road. Lunch will be prepared along the way.
Upon arrival, you will enjoy the refreshing feeling of having cold drinks ready, and the group will board the vehicle to return to the Jungle Boss office, concluding the journey.

Phong Nha Ke Bang has 4 seasons with Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, it also experiences a monsoon tropical climate, with two distinct seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. The rainy season spans from September to March, while the dry season stretches from April to August. During the rainy season, temperatures can drop as low as 17°C, with January being the coldest month. In contrast, the dry season can bring higher temperatures, with May usually recording the highest temperatures, but most of it is reduced when visitors are in the jungle and the caves exploring, as it might drop to the temperature around 23°C.
When you visit Phong Nha in each season, you'll always witness a unique beauty. If you choose to visit during the rainy season, the waterfalls in the jungle and the calcite lakes inside the caves will be exceptionally beautiful and full, allowing you to capture memorable photos. On the other hand, if you opt for the dry season, your trekking routes in the jungle will be drier and more manageable.
Throughout the year, we are at our most beautiful status from April to May when the weather is dry, cool, and the scenery is at its finest.
