DISCOVERING AN UNIDENTIFIED SPECIES IN HUNG THOONG EXPLORATION

Recently, during an expedition in Hung Thoong, the exploration team from Jungle Boss Tours made a discovery of an entirely new entity, whose classification as either animal or plant remains unclear.

About 300 meters into Hung Cave, the explorers spotted this peculiar life form scattered across the surface of stalactites. Within an area of a few dozen square meters in the cave's heart, the team found between 40 to 50 of these entities.

As Mr. Le Luu Dung, CEO and Founder of Jungle Boss Tours, shared during the live broadcast of the 4th episode of Expert Talk on the evening of June 16, 2024, despite his over ten years of caving experience, this was the first time he had encountered such a bizarre organism.

This life form features two distinctly unique parts. Its lower section clings tightly to the stalactites, with numerous off-white filaments resembling enoki mushrooms sprouting from the base. The upper part consists of thin, spider-web-like threads that are flexible, elastic, and stand upright without breaking. “Even Captain Uy, the first person to spot the creature, who has spent his entire life in the jungle, has never seen anything like this,” Mr. Le Luu Dung remarked.

Jungle Boss Tours has sent images of this unusual organism to several professional caving groups. However, to date, no one has confirmed having seen it before, and they are still awaiting further verification from new sources.
