Established by early January, 2023, Hung Thoong Exploration is a newly opened tour by Jungle Boss. This trek is perfect for adventures looking for an exciting challenge with an incredible reward.
This journey offers a jungle trek deep into Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park to explore hung Thoong cave system including Nightmare sharp cave, Tron cave, Hung cave, and Thung cave with camping by hung Thoong river and Ma Da crystal lake.
What to expect?
Hung Thoong is one of the wildest part of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, no tourist ever puts their steps into this area. This amazing trip will give you the best experience of Vietnam tropical jungle while hiking on a difficult terrains, crossing rivers, cave rappelling, explore caves and meet with our jungle team.
*NOTE: All of rappelling activities belong to the new version of Hung Thoong Exploration will begin to be implemented from January 1st, 2024. For customers participating in the Hung Thoong Exploration in 2023, there will still be no rappelling activities in the itinerary of this adventure.
Itinery
Day 1: Phong Nha – Road 20 Victory – Hung cave – Tron cave – Nuoc Lan lake Basecamp
8:00 Pick up for briefing at Jungle Boss Headquarter
8:30 Depart for hung Thoong Exploration along Road 20 Victory
9:00 Start trekking through dense jungle to reach hung Thoong
11:00 Continue trekking to hang Hung cave
12:00 Picnic lunch at Hung cave
13:00 – 15:00 Explore Hung cave, and trek to Nuoc Lan basecamp
15:30 Swim 1,2km into Tron cave
17:00 Prepare campsite by Nuoc Lan lake
18:00 – 21:00 Enjoy jungle dinner at basecamp
Day 2: Nuoc Lan basecamp – hung Thoong Spring – Thung cave – Nuoc Lan basecamp
8:00 Breakfast basecamp
9:00 – 11:00 Trekking along hung Thoong
11:30 Rappelling 25m to enter Thung cave
12:30: Lunch and enjoy the beauty of Thung cave sinkhole
13:00 – 15:00 Explore the hidden river and the rest of Thung cave
15:00 – 16:30 Trek to Nuoc Lan basecamp
17:00 Camp at Nuoc Lan lake
17:00 – 18:00 Swim at the lake in Nuoc Lan basecamp
18:00 – 21:00 Enjoy dinner with our local team at campsite
Day 3: Nuoc Lan lake – Ma Đa lake – Ho Chi Minh Road
8:00 Breakfast at Nuoc Lan basecamp
9:00 Trekking through the jungle to get to Ma Da valley
12:00 Arrive at Ma Da lake for lunch and swim at the lake
13:30 Start trekking to Ho Chi Minh road
15:00 Arrive at Ho Chi Minh road. Jungle Boss bus picks you up at transfer to Jungle Boss Headquarter. Ends journey
